Aspects&Impacts app for iPhone and iPad

This application helps you systematically determine your organization’s significant environmental aspects. First, you list your organizations activities (eg. photocopying, etc). As you add them to the list these are stored in the database.

Second, you tap the detail icon for an activity and you add the inputs and outputs of the activity. These inputs and outputs are the environmental aspects. When you add an aspect you are initially brought to the impacts screen where you enter the name of the aspect and tap on the rating buttons to rate the impact. These data are stored in the database and can be edited anytime by tapping on the aspect.

Finally, you go to the Score and Report module and generate the report. The aspects are sorted in descending order of the impact rank. Those impacts above the threshold value are marked as significant. The threshold can be adjusted so that it is appropriate for your organization. There are two report formats available. One is plain text and the other is a comma-quote delimited file. The delimited file contains all of the raw data so you can import this into another program. Reports can be printed or emailed.
